Your life doesn’t matter, so do what you want with it.

In 50 years, you’ll be dead(if you’re lucky). In 500 years, unless you did something that fundamentally altered the course of civilizazion, no one will remember you. In 5000 years, no one will remember you, even if you did do something that fundamentally altered the course of civilization. In 50.000 years, it’s hard to say if we will even have a civilization, but chances are that you won’t be remembered. And in 5 billion years, our sun will explode, and life on earth will cease to exist.

Basically, nothing you do matters in the grand scheme of things. So tell me: why are you waiting for one moment to do what you really want to do with your life? Why are you still working that shit job? Why are you still in that shit relationship? Why are you afraid of anything?

Fuck security. The greatest security you can have in life is knowing that you can handle anything that happens to you.

Many times we get so caught up in the day-to-day minutiae, and the chase for more, better, faster that defines western culture, that we forget about the simple pleasures that used to make us so happy as children and teens. I’ve decided to compile a few. Off the top of my head, in no particular order:

  1. Cheese
  2. Cartoons
  3. Sunshine
  4. Beer
  5. Peaceful afternoons
  6. Riding bikes
  7. People with accents saying awesome shit. Moyses of brazilian death metal band Krisiun got asked how he sweet picks so fast. He said “much practice for speed metal brutal attack!” Read more →

TASCAM: Worst Company Ever

Last Christmas, I decided to make myself a gift I’ve long been putting off: buying myself an external audio interface to further my ambition of becoming a music producer. After much deliberation and a good, hard look at my bank account, I decided to buy the Tascam US-144mkII, because it was part of a bundle at Musician’s Friend. And once again, I realized that you get what you pay for. Read more →

7 Reasons to Stop Spending Time With Losers

Part of succeeding in life, be it dating desirable women, achieving career goals, or other things, means surrounding yourself with good, healthy influences that push you into the direction you are trying to go, even during times where you don’t have the strength to keep going. Humans are social animals; and we need the interaction with others to refine our own personalities.

It is tempting to keep all of your existing social circles around you, no matter how little they contribute to your current life pursuits – because none of us like to “cut the cord” of a relationship or friendship that we have had for a while.

But to be successful, you have to be Read more →

Anyone who has ever created anything will be able to relate to this comic strip. My favorite part: right at the start, the sign that says “Self Doubt” leads into a dead end where you crash and burn. Source:  http://www.viruscomix.com/page523.html

Prince = God with a Guitar

The other day I traveled to Berlin to strike off one of the items on my “Things to do before I die” List: See Prince live. Berlin is about 600km away from me and the Tickets for front-category Prince cost more than €150. But it was more than worth it.

The fun started before the concert: We were all paranoid and pissed because we were late to get to the arena, and thought we wouldn’t get a good spot up front. There were two lines: one large one at the main entrance, and one smaller one off to the side, that by the size of it looked like it could have just been the line to the bathrooms. We asked the securities which line we had to get into, and Read more →
